The client needed software to automate photo printing in amusement parks.

The program needed to read a QR code, process the information, connect to an API to retrieve images, and automatically send them to the print queue so customers could collect their photos without staff assistance.

The software needed to manage the entire workflow and handle errors during both the QR code reading and printing stages.

Our Solution 

At Unow Solutions, we worked with a sample hardware setup to develop reliable code that could handle errors at every step.

• We used a QR code reader to programmatically extract information.

• We connected various endpoints in sequence to retrieve and store the images.

• We iterated to enable unlimited on-demand image printing, managing physical issues like paper shortages, ribbon depletion, and power outages.

• We installed the software on a Raspberry Pi.

• We created a series of tests to ensure the software functioned correctly.
